Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19, 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the seventh season Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
