Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She was secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011), the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned to politics in 2012 as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign. In the year 2000, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left White House in the year 21 were fuelled by her hire at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th in 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was a part of the Obama administration until its end.
