Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4 1954) is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara has been the recipient of numerous awards including a Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was named as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. She first came to the attention of an actor in the year 1974 when she was an actor in The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Along with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the principal casting for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara joined Candy in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received praise from critics for both her writing abilities and acting and was honored with an Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
