Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello, born on April 18, 1967, in the United States is an actress and producer as well as writer and director. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly ((2000), The Cooler (3), A History of Violence (2004), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2009), Grown Ups (2010) and Prisoners (2013) were some of her films. Bello has appeared on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998) as well as other starring parts such as Michelle McBride (2016 season) and Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was the daughter of Kathy Bello (a teacher and school nurse) and Joe Bello (a contractor). Bello was born in Norristown on April 18, 1967. In political science Bello studied in political science at Villanova University. Bello continued her acting training through participation in numerous New York theatre productions. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son named Jackson. In November 2013, Bello wrote about her first partner Clare Munn's same-sex relationship. She published a book entitled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28 in 2015).
